Old computer works again

I'm so happy I've managed to get my old Windows XP computer to work again. I gave up a long time ago, maybe 2-3 years, but I still have personal files, and music on there that I wanted.

Specifically it was no longer able to connect to the internet, which caused all sorts of issues. I can transfer the files on to a hard drive, but I'd rather do it over a network connection. That bit I'm struggling with.

But getting it to connect to the Internet is fantastic, and I've updated the firewall and antivirus software, and I'm now running a full computer scan.

It didn't prove to be too difficult to fix, fixing it has made me very happy.
