Here is a workaround; Go to here http://www.facebook.com/mobile/ and get a unique email address for uploading photos. Then use email address that Facebook recognises as you to send the photo (copy and paste it in a blank email). Takes a few moments, plus you can't write a caption. Good workaround though.
